Rise of Iron is the fourth expansion to online shooter Destiny, which brings a story campaign set within a new location on Earth called The Plaguelands. The expansion also features a new Strike and Raid, new Crucible mode and maps, new gear, and an additional enemy faction, the Fallen.
Destiny: Rise of Iron is the first expansion to only support the current-gen consoles. Starting with August 16, Destiny will no longer receive any major updates on PS3 and Xbox 360, and player progression will be separated from Xbox One and PS4 platforms. The upcoming expansion costs $30 and requires that the player own the base game as well as The Taken King DLC.
