Everspace is a 3D space shooter developed by indie studio Rockfish Games, to whom this is a debut title. The game is said to feature roguelike elements and a non-linear storyline. Running on Unreal Engine 4, it boasts AAA-tier visuals and VR support, with 30 fps at full HD on Xbox One, and the requisite 90 FPS on the Oculus.
Everspace was successfully funded via Kickstarter, reaching a number of the developers’ stretch goals. The game is currently in Early Access phase on Steam, and on the Game Preview program for Xbox One and Windows 10.
PC gamers can pre-purchase Everspace via the official website as either Steam or GOG digital key, and save 25% off the launch price (as well as start playing immediately, of course). In case of Steam, you also receive the following:
- “Supporter” Forum Badge
- A set of stunning wallpapers (Q1 2017 delivery)
- Preferred 1st Level Support
- Refund policy: 2 weeks, no hard questions asked
As for Xbox One, the deal is somewhat similar; you can pre-purchase the Game Preview version via Xbox Store or your Windows 10 Store app for $29.99, getting $10 off the official price at launch ($39.99).
