LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a LEGO-themed action-adventure game developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros for all major gaming platforms. While mostly based on the eponymous movie, it also includes content which covers the events between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.
The gameplay is said to be similar to that of its predecessors, but LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens does include some new mechanics, such as space dogfights, Blaster Battles which use a cover system, and Multi-Builds where players can choose from multiple building options to solve puzzles and open up new paths.
Pre-order bonuses
Here are the retailer-specific pre-order incentives for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens:
- GameStop: Jabba’s Palace Character Pack (Jabba the Hutt and his loyal retainers Bib Fortuna, Malakili and Gamorrean Guards, plus the bounty hunter Booush, dancer Oola, and Princess Leia in her Jabba’s barge costume) and a LEGO Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle Mini PlaySet
- Best Buy: LEGO First Order Star Destroyer
In addition, those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be getting the Empire Strikes Back Character Pack, which includes Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia in cold weather gear, the cybernetic Lobot and the Ugnaughts of Cloud City, as well as the deadly bounty hunters Bossk, Dengar, and Boba Fett in his original concept art white armor. Again, this incentive is not included with the standard edition of the game.
Finally, PlayStation versions of the game will receive the Droid Character Pack and The Phantom Limb Level Pack as a platform bonus. Reserving a copy through PlayStation Store will also net you official LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens theme.
Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe Edition of the game costs $70 and comes with a Season Pass and an exclusive exclusive Finn (FN-2187) MinFig.
