Samurai Shodown is a weapon-based fighting game by SNK and a reboot of the long-running series. Set in a fantasized version of 1787 Japan, it features a roster of over 20 fighters, including several newcomers to the series.

The game has already been released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Google Stadia, and is set to launch on Nintendo Switch in February. It will run at 60 FPS with support for tabletop, TV, and handheld modes. There is also a bonus for early purchasers as detailed after the jump.

Wasteland 3 from inXile Entertainment is a story-driven RPG with strategic turn-based combat that, like Wasteland 2, was crowdfunded, raising over $3 million. Compared to its predecessor, the upcoming game offers more fluid squad-based combat, player-controlled vehicles, and two player co-op.

Wasteland 3 takes place in post-apocalyptic wastes of frozen Colorado. Players once again step into the shoes of a Desert Ranger, who takes on a job for the self-proclaimed Patriarch of Colorado in order to secure aid for Arizona. The developer promises an engaging story rife with difficult moral choices.

Phoenix Point is developed by an independent Bulgarian studio Snapshot Games, which is headed by a maker of the cult-classic X-COM. As X-COM‘s spiritual successor, Phoenix Point combines a strategic world view called Geoscape with tactical turn-based battles. It features destructible environments, extensive soldier customization, and plenty of weapons and gear acquired through trading, conflict, or research.

Phoenix Point takes place in a post-apocalyptic Earth devastated by a virus that mutated most of its life forms into alien monsters. Notably, these aliens evolve and adapt to the player’s tactics through procedural generation. The remains of humanity broke up into factions that the player may ally with to gain access to their resources and unique technologies.

Nioh 2 Box Art

Nioh 2 is a “masocore” action RPG from Team Ninja. Timeline-wise it is a prequel to the original Nioh, and follows a different protagonist: a half-yokai, half-human mercenary who can utilize both weapons and supernatural abilities, and even enter the Dark Realm. This time around, the protagonist is fully customizable by the player including gender, appearance, and so on.

Like its predecessor, Nioh 2 can be played in Action (60 FPS), Movie (30 FPS with superior visuals), and Variable modes – and switching between them is easier than before. Regardless of the mode, PS4 Pro owners will enjoy higher resolutions.

MLB The Show 20 is an officially licensed Major League Baseball game from SIE San Diego Studio. It brings updated March to October and Road to The Show modes, improved defensive and hitting mechanics, competitive online play with custom leagues, and full minor league rosters.

The cover of the upcoming title is graced by Javier Báez of Chicago Cubs, who is known as El Mágo for his defensive plays. MLB The Show 20 is available in several versions outlined after the jump.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War Box Art

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a third-person shooter from Rebellion Developments. It is a sequel to Zombie Army Trilogy, which itself is a spin-off of the company’s Sniper Elite franchise. Set in 1940s Europe, the upcoming game again pits one to four players against hordes of Nazi undead.

The game’s most touted features include deep character progression, weapon customization, brutal melee, and even more brutal dismemberment with the return of fan-favorite X-ray kill cam. In addition to a single-player campaign that picks up where Zombie Army Trilogy left off, there’s the improved Horde Mode with maps that grow larger the longer you survive.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an award-winning action-adventure game from Rockstar Games. Taking place in 1899 – a decade before the events in the first game – it follows outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang, as he flees federal agents across the Wild West.

As the game has already been out for consoles since last year, this article concerns specifically the upcoming release for Windows PCs. This version of RDR2 comes with some graphical and technical improvements, new bounty hunting missions and weapons, as well as free access to Red Dead Online. There is also a plethora of bonuses on offer when pre-purchasing from participating retailers or Rockstar directly, as outlined after the jump.
