Darksiders III is a hack-and-slash action-adventure game developed by Gunfire Games and published by THQ Nordic. The upcoming title’s protagonist is Fury, the most unpredictable and enigmatic of the Four Horsemen. Tasked by the Charred Council to restore balance to the world, this whip-wielding mage sets out on a quest to destroy the Seven Deadly Sins and their degenerated servants that have overrun the Earth.

Fury possesses magic that allows her to assume different forms, each granting access to new weapons, moves, and traversal abilities which come in handy when navigating the game’s expansive world.

My Hero: One's Justice Box Art

My Hero: One’s Justice is an anime-style fighting game developed by Byking and published by Bandai Namco. Based on the popular manga and anime series My Hero Academia, it allows the players to step into the shoes of either heroes or villains, experience the story from each perspective, and unleash powerful Quirks upon their enemies.

The game features destructible environments based on various locations from the original series. A sidekick system lets the player pick two helpers to perform powerful combos with, albeit the game is still one-on-one and not a tag team fighter. The roster includes a large number of fan-favorite characters like All Might, Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Tomura Shigaraki, and others, with one available as a pre-order bonus (details after the jump).

NBA Live 19 Box Art

NBA Live 19 is a basketball simulator developed by EA Tiburon and published by EA Sports. The game boasts Real Player Motion technology, a reimagined animation system which is said to improve responsiveness and provide more authenticity, as well as a new head-to-head gameplay feature called 1v1 Everywhere. The One career mode makes a return, starting from high school and following the player’s rise to stardom as they progress through The League and The Streets modes.

The cover athlete for NBA Live 19 is Joel Embiid of Philadelphia 76ers. The game’s pre-order incentives are also centered around this player – more on those after the jump.

LEGO DC Super-Villains Box Art

LEGO DC Super-Villains is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Warner Bros for modern consoles and PC. It drops the player into the shoes of a custom-created rookie villain, who will wreak havoc alongside renowned DC supervillains like The Joker, Harley Quinn, and Lex Luthor – and perhaps even save the Earth from a sham Justice League from a parallel universe, who call themselves the “Justice Syndicate”. The game can be played solo or in a local co-op for two players.

Shenmue I & II Box Art

Shenmue I & II follows the story of a teenage jujitsu artist, Ryo Hazuki, who upon returning to his father’s dojo witnesses his murder at the hands of a Chinese man, Lan Di. Ryo sets out on a path of revenge, first gathering information around his native town of Yokosuka, then, in the second installment, crossing the sea in search of his farther’s killer.

Shenmue I & II is coming to modern consoles and the PC not as full remakes, but as more straightforward ports, albeit bringing a number of improvements over the Dreamcast classics. These include the option for the original Japanese audio, a choice between modern and classic controls, updated user interface, and adjustable screen resolution on PC. On both consoles, the games are rendered in HD resolution, and locked to 30 FPS due to limitations of the game engine.

NHL 19 Box Art

NHL 19 is the latest ice hockey simulator from EA. One of the title’s most touted features is RPM (Real Player Motion) technology that promises better animations and more responsiveness in acceleration, high-speed skating, and pin-point turns. Other additions include outdoor rinks, new NHL ONES and NHL Alumni Pro-Am modes, as well as over 200 playable legends of NHL. The game also brings over 900 new customization items.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is a tactical RPG developed and published by Sega. Already out in Japan since March this year, the game will see a Western release on all major platforms.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is set in Europa, a fictional region based on Europe during World War II, and follows Federation’s Squad E lead by the young and eager Commander Claude Wallace. Alongside his comrades, he battles the imperial soldiers as well as the terrifying Valkyria.
