NBA 2K19 is a basketball simulator developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. Featuring LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers as the cover athlete for its premium edition, the upcoming installment is said to celebrate 20 years of sports gaming, from best-in-class graphics and gameplay to immersive open-world Neighborhood mode, and continue to push the limits bringing gaming one step closer to real-life basketball excitement and culture.

Hitman 2 is a stealth assassination game developed by IO Interactive and published by Warner Bros. It is a direct sequel to the 2016 reboot of the series, and has Agent 47 embarking on a mission to hunt the elusive Shadow Client and learning the hidden truth of his own past.

The official announcement promises a wealth of improvements in the upcoming installment, including NPC vision, better crowd fidelity, and new items such as concussion gadgets. The game features six initial maps, each which living and breathing environments that a player can use to their advantage and take out their targets in creative ways. Hitman 2 will launch as a full game, dropping the episodic nature of its predecessor, albeit there are at least two future expansions in the works.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 is the latest installment in Konami’s soccer simulator series. The company promises to increase the number of authentic leagues and stadiums, and is bringing a number of licenses (including exclusively the Russian Premier League), albeit relinquishing the deal with UEFA for the Champions League, Europa League, and the UEFA Super Cup to FIFA 19 of the rival franchise.

PES 2019 introduces 11 new skill traits, bringing the total up to 39 and thus increasing player uniqueness. Player individuality is the most touted feature of the upcoming game, one that Konami claims will help create “Magic Moments” on the pitch. A new stamina system means the athletes will now show clear visual signs when fatigued. Outside the pitch, there are several quality of life improvements such as improved negotiation system and budget management.

Destiny 2: Forsaken is a standalone expansion for Bungie’s online shooter. The story takes the player to investigate a recent unrest in the Reef alongside Cayde-6, where they discover that some of the most wanted criminals have staged an escape from the Prison of Elders. There are new regions to explore, and long-lost Awoken secrets to uncover.

Forsaken makes a number of changes to Destiny 2. Among these is a new competitive 4v4 mode Gambit, a new Dreaming City Raid, as well as additional Strikes , story missions, powers, weapons, and gear, including a new weapon archetype the Legendary Bow.

Do note that players need to own the base Destiny 2 game, as well as the Curse of Osiris and Warmind expansions, to play Forsaken. To this end, Bungie, High Moon Studios, and Activision are releasing Destiny 2: Forsaken – Legendary Collection for $59.99, which includes every expansion so far.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an action-adventure game developed by Rockstar Games. Like its award-winning predecessor, it is set in the Old West, and features an open world the player can roam freely on horseback or on foot. According to Rockstar, RDR 2 is biggest game it has ever created in terms of sheer size.

Time-wise, Red Dead Redemption 2 starts in year 1899 – or about a decade before the events in the previous title – and follows a new protagonist: Arthur Morgan, a member of the notorious Van der Linde gang. After a robbery gone wrong, the gang is forced to free across the rugged heartland of America, with nation’s best bounty hunters and federal agents on their heels.

Octopath Traveler is a turn-based RPG developed by Square Enix and Acquire exclusively for Nintendo Switch. The game uses a curious combination of 16-bit aesthetics and modern visual effects like bloom that the developer calls “HD-2D”.

The game features eight playable adventurers (hence “Octopath”) such as Warrior, Merchant, Apothecary, or Dancer, each with their own unique ability that can be used in battles or when interacting with NPCs, and a distinct story to follow. The path the player pursues is said to determine where their adventure ends.

Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion is a family-friendly action-adventure game from Outright Games and Climax Games. Like its name suggests, the upcoming game is based on the Cartoon Network series, and features fan-favorite characters Finn, Jake, BMO, and Marceline. The Land of Ooo is underwater, and it’s up to Finn and Jake to set sail on their boat, Jeff, and explore dangerous waters, search for clues, interrogate pirates, and fight baddies in a turn-based combat system.
