Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is a role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. Already released in Japan back in 2017 to favorable reviews, the game is coming to the West with a number of improvements beyond English voice-acting. This includes an even harder “Draconian Quest” mode, better controls, a first-person camera mode usable while standing still, polished up UI, and 4K resolution support.

While it is the eleventh main entry in the Dragon Quest series, the game is said to provide a standalone experience with an immersive story that will appeal to longtime fans and newcomers alike. Dragon Quest XI follows a young man who learns that he is the reincarnation of a legendary hero, The Luminary, during his village’s coming of age ceremony. He embarks on a journey to uncover his past, but is quickly branded a demon and pursued by an evil king’s forces. Fortunately, new allies come to his aid – motley adventurers with their own rich backstories and personalities.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the third entry in the reboot series developed by Eidos Montréal and Crystal Dynamics, and published by Square Enix. In this latest installment, Lara Croft must traverse an unforgiving jungle, explore a vast hidden city, overcome terrifying tombs, and stave off a Mayan apocalypse.

The upcoming game is said to be challenging in new and unexpected ways. According to the developers, they have created a diverse set of skills, combat techniques, and equipment. Mastering these will be necessary to survive the deadly jungle environments, underwater tunnel systems, and ancient Mayan tombs.

Jurassic World Evolution is a business simulator developed and published by British studio Frontier Developments. The game charges the player with building and managing their own Jurassic World park on the islands of the Muertes archipelago.

Among the game’s features is researching new species, bioengineering dinosaurs to give them new traits, balancing three distinct gameplay paths (science, security, and entertainment), and getting up close and personal to the dinosaurs from behind the wheel of a 4×4 or a helicopter cockpit.

The Banner Saga 3 Box Art

The Banner Saga 3 is the final installment of the award-winning viking RPG trilogy from independent developer Stoic. Much like its predecessors, it was successfully funded through KickStarter.

The game offers tactical turn-based combat, over 40 unique characters with different abilities, hand-drawn art, and meaningful player choice. The major choices from the previous games can also be imported into TBS3, or the player may start with the default state if they so choose.

Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle is a 2v2 tag team fighter developed and published by Japanese studio Arc System Works. As a crossover title, it boasts a cast of characters from several different franchises, namely BlazBlue itself, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth, and RWBY. While the game retains the fast-paced gameplay that the series is known for, the controls are changed significantly to accommodate the new fighters.

BBTAG is to launch in the West with a full English dub and 20 characters in the base game. The roster can be expanded to a total of 40 through future Character Packs.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games, for whom it will be the first licensed title. It is played from the third-person perspective, and is set in an open-world, modern day New York.

Rather than explore his origin story again, Marvel’s Spider-Man shows Peter Parker as a confident hero with years’ worth of experience under his belt. It tells an original story – not something you’ve seen in the movies before – and has Spider-Man facing the biggest threat in his crime fighting career yet. After taking down Kingpin, he now has to deal with Mr. Negative and his gang of Inner Demons, who attempt to exploit the power vacuum in the city’s underworld.

BattleTech is a tactical turn-based mech combat game developed by Harebrained Schemes and published by Paradox Interactive for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It takes place in year 3025, amid a centuries-long war between great noble houses fought using huge military vehicles called BattleMechs.

After successfully reaching its funding goals on Kickstarter, BattleTech will launch featuring multiple game modes including skirmishes, single-story campaign, and multiplayer PvP with rated matchmaking. Over 30 different Mechs are in the game, and each can be customized and upgraded in the player’s MechLab.
