The story follows a high-schooler who gets sucked into the Digital World and involved in a battle against Machinedramons. Yakuza 0 is an open-world action-adventure game from Sega. The title is a prequel to the previously released Yakuza games, taking place in fictionalized Tokyo and Osaka areas in 1988. It follows younger Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima in their rise through Japan’s criminal underworld.

The game’s world is shared with that of Tales of Zestiria, although Berseria takes place in the distant past, in a country called the Holy Midgand Empire.

The Last Guardian is a fantasy action-adventure game with puzzle elements developed by genDESIGN and SIE Japan Studio. Its director and designer is Fumito Ueda, who is known for his work on Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Watch Dogs 2 is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Montreal. The sequel features a new protagonist – a young hacker named Marcus Holloway – and takes place in a fictionalized version of San Francisco Bay Area.

Through the citywide ctOS system, Marcus can hack anything from vehicles to smartphones, and more. He is also equipped with tools like the quadcopter drone which can be used for scouting and remote hacking. Dishonored 2 is an action-stealth game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda. It gives the players a choice of stepping back into the shoes of Corvo Attano, the protagonist of the previous installment, or playing as Emily Kaldwin, the daughter of the Empress. Infinite Warfare is the thirteenth main installment in the first-person shooter series Call of Duty. It is developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows.

The upcoming game is a lot more futuristic than its predecessors: it takes place in a distant future where humans have colonized the solar system, and centers around a conflict between Earth-based United Nations Space Alliance and the Settlement Defense Front, insurgents who seek to control the off-world outposts. Players will step into the shoes of Captain Reyes and take command of Retribution, a massive warship which serves as base-of-operations while journeying through the solar system.

New gameplay mechanics in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare include aerial warfare with a space-capable jet-fighter Jackal, and zero-gravity environments which require the use of grappling hooks and thrusters to navigate. In addition to the campaign, which promises “unforgettable characters and rich emotional arcs”, Infinite Warfare will offer several competitive multiplayer modes and a co-op Zombie mode with its own story. Despite the obvious sci-fi themes, the developers claim they’re going for a “realistic, plausible near-future story” (source).

Titanfall 2 is a first-person shooter which, like its predecessor, is developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by EA. New to the game is a full-fledged single-player campaign, telling the story of a lone Militia rifleman stranded behind IMC enemy lines and teaming up with a with a veteran Vanguard-class titan against overwhelming odds.

As expected, most of the focus still remains on the multiplayer, where the developers are bringing six mech classes, improved customization, additional modes, and new pilot abilities including a grappling hook which adds extra mobility to the already fast-paced gameplay. Plot-wise, the sequel takes place two years after the events of the first Xenoverse. World of Final Fantasy is a role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix for PlayStation 4 and Vita, with cross-save enabled between the two systems. It follows twin siblings Lann and Reyne who journey through the world of Grymoire on a quest to recover their lost memories.

The game is said to be more accessible to younger players, and features stylized “chibi” characters and monsters. Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter set in World War I. It is developed by EA DICE and runs on their proprietary Frostbite engine, which supports DX12. The game’s campaign is said to feature larger and more open environments, and offer more choice and variety to the players compared to the previous Battlefield installments. It includes a diverse set of locations, from Western front with its typical trench warfare, to Italian Alps and Arabian deserts.

Shadow Warrior 2 is an upcoming sequel to the Flying Wild Hog’s 2013 first-person shooter. It takes place five years after the events in the first game, and once again puts the players into the shoes of wisecracking ninja Lo Wang. The sequel is less linear and some level elements are procedurally-generated. Shadow Warrior 2 also boasts over 70 different weapons which can be augmented and leveled up by killing enemies. Enemies can now be dismembered and have various body parts blown off thanks to the new procedural damage system.

Like its predecessor, the game has a single-player story mode, the main difference being that it is now possible to revisit previous missions.
