Mighty No. 9 is a side-scrolling platformer developed by Inti Creates and Keiji Inafune’s Comcept. Touted as a spiritual successor to the Mega Man franchise, the game raised $3.8 million on Kickstarter and was developed with significant input from the Beckers (a pun on the protagonist’s name). According to the developers, they intend to bring the best elements of the classic 8- and 16-bit era titles to the modern gaming platforms.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by EA DICE. It is a reboot of the 2008’s title Mirror’s Edge, and features the same protagonist, Faith, who rebels against the totalitarian government in the futuristic City of Glass.

The changes in Catalyst go beyond next-gen graphics. The game is now open-world (and without loading screens to boot), has more freedom of traversal, and offers multiple paths of reaching your destination. The combat system has also been overhauled, focusing on melee attacks and parkour movements, and removing the usage of guns entirely. Homefront: The Revolution is an open-world, first-person shooter developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver.
