The fourth installment in the popular Far Cry series takes the players to Kyrat, a fictional Himalayan region ruled by the game’s antagonist Pagan Min. A power-hungry Hong Kong drug lord, Min used an ongoing civil war in the remote kingdom of Kyrat to claim the throne, and then proceeded to remake the country to his own liking. AC Unity is an upcoming installment in the highly popular Assassin’s Creed series by Ubisoft. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is an upcoming FPS game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. Set in year 2054, it features highly futuristic combat with exoskeletons that allow their users to perform enormous leaps, blazing-fast dodges, and supercharged melee attacks. The players can even become invisible for a brief period of time using the powersuits’ cloaking capabilities. It takes place in year 2027, when a zombie apocalypse of sorts strikes the fictional Sunset City due to a new energy drink, OverCharge Delirium XT, turning its drinkers into crazed mutants. Destiny is an online multiplayer FPS with a flavor of RPG developed by Bungie and published by Activision. While the game does have some MMO elements – such as its massive, persistent world – it is referred to as a “shared-world shooter” instead.

Destiny offers the player a choice between three playable races and three classes, the latter of which gives access to different subclasses, abilities, gear, and so on. Titanfall is a highly anticipated multiplayer first-person shooter developed by Respawn Entertainment for Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows platforms. The game centers around fast-paced 6v6 matches with players fighting both on foot as pilots, and inside giant mecha called Titans. It takes place in a fictional city of Los Santos (based on Los Angeles) and its environs, and is larger than any other Grand Theft Auto game to date.
