Raiden V: Director’s Cut is a vertical-scrolling shooter, or a shmup, where players take control of one of the three powerful aircraft (Azuma, Spirit of Dragon, or Moulin Rouge) and do combat against countless waves of enemies, upgrading their weapons along the way. Unlike the previous installments in the series, it names many real-world locations.

As Raiden V has already been released on Xbox One in the West back in 2016, this article is concerning specifically the upcoming release on PlayStation 4 and Steam.

Raiden V: Director’s Cut - Limited Edition

Raiden V: Director’s Cut is available digitally and at retail for $39.99. As usual, the physical version is only available for the PS4; pre-ordering it automatically upgrades you to the Limited Edition, which includes an Original Soundtrack CD with 22 tracks in total.

Raiden V: Director’s Cut is scheduled to be launched for PS4 and PC via Steam on October 10, 2017.
