Sudden Strike 4 is an RTS developed by KITE Games (described as “an elite squad of veteran developers”) and published by Kalypso Media. The game omits tedious base building and resource gathering, focusing on the tactical aspects instead. Set during World War II, it allows the players to command companies of British and American, German, or Soviet troops, leading over a hundred authentic units into battle. Among them are the infamous German bomber Heinkel He111, the Russian tank T-34, the British Hawker Typhoon fighter, and the notorious German Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger.
Sudden Strike 4 features over 20 single-player scenarions, as well as skirmish and competitive multiplayer modes. Built-in rewards system will unlock exclusive content such as historical film footage as you complete the missions.
Purchasing a Steam key (can be done directly or through HumbleBundle) gets you 15% off the game, as well as an exclusive “Battle for Kursk” skirmish map, the original soundtrack recorded by the Hungarian Studio Orchestra, and the Sudden Strike 4 digital artbook. Additionally, you will receive the entire Sudden Strike trilogy, as well as instant access to the game’s closed beta and its feedback forum.
For consoles, there will be a Day One Edition, which includes the aforementioned digital artbook and the soundtrack.
Sudden Strike 4 is scheduled for a worldwide Steam release on August 11, 2017. North American retail and PlayStation Store versions will be released four days later, on August 15. All in all, the game will be out for PlayStation 4, Windows, Steam OS, and Mac.
