Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a first-person action co-op developed and published by Swedish studio Fatshark. The game has up to four players joining forces to battle the relentless Skaven horde, as well as a new faction, the malevolent warriors of Chaos.
Much like in the 2015 prequel Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, there are five playable characters with unique abilities, but this time each of them also has three different class careers for deeper specialization. There is also the new Heroic Deeds system, which offers consumable quests to those looking for an extra challenge.
At the time for writing, pre-orders aren’t available for consoles yet, but you can already do so via Steam. Pre-ordering Vermintide 2 there nets you the following:
- 10% discount
- Exclusive beta access
- “Death on the Reik” DLC for Vermintide 1
The digital Collector’s Edition costs $44.99 before the pre-order discount, and comes with the following extras:
- Official Soundtrack
- Helmgart Heraldry Themed Skins
- Portrait Frame
- Digital Map
- Exclusive Heroic Deed
- Keep Decorations
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is slated for Q1 2018. It is likely that the console versions will follow several months after the PC release.
