MLB The Show 17 is a Major League Baseball game developed by Sony San Diego exclusively for the PS4. The game features Hall of Fame outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. on its cover, the first retired athlete to grace the cover of The Show. Griffey will also be playable in the upcoming title.

MLB The Show 17 is said to offer exciting gameplay improvements and deliver the most realistic and personal baseball gaming experience. One of its most touted features is the Road to the Show mode, where you create a player from scratch and follow his personal journey from a newbie to a Major League Baseball legend.

Digimon World: Next Order is an upcoming role-playing and monster training game from the popular Digimon franchise. The story follows a high-schooler who gets sucked into the Digital World and involved in a battle against Machinedramons. This time the protagonist gets to adventure alongside two Digimons, which act on their own in fights while also following the player’s strategic commands. The game contains more than 200 Digimon from the animated series to meet, recruit, and interact with.

Digimon World: Next Order is published by Bandai Namco for the PS4 exclusively in the West, whereas Japan also saw a PS Vita release with slightly less content. The game comes with dual audio, offering a choice between Japanese and English dub.

Nioh is a samurai-centric action RPG developed by Team Ninja and published by Sony in the West. The game is set in a dark fantasy version of feudal Japan, where vile beasts and grotesque yokai roam the lands, and the country is torn by warring daimyo factions. The protagonist of the game is a Western swordsman William (inspired by the real-life story of William Adams) who arrives in Japan in pursuit of an enemy, and is recruited to battle yokai by the fabled ninja Hattori Hanzo.

Mass Effect: Andromeda puts the player into the shoes of Ryder, a Pathfinder tasked with finding new worlds to colonize and ensure the survival of humanity. The game starts with the main character arriving in the titular Andromeda galaxy after a six hundred year long cryosleep. Representatives of other major Milky Way civilizations are also making the journey on their own Ark ships, and Andromeda itself is home to at least two new alien races: the warlike Khet and the mysterious Remnant.

Andromeda retains most of the gameplay elements seen in the previous Mass Effect installments. Nexus, the Flagship of the fleet, serves as a Citadel-esque central hub, whereas Ryder can explore the new galaxy on Tempest, the successor of Normandy. Guns and biotics, the dialogue wheel, romance sub-plots, and multiplayer co-op all make a reappearance. In a departure from the original trilogy, however, Mass Effect: Andromeda is open-world and features a classless character advancement system, allowing the player to freely mix-and-match different abilities.

The eight installment in the highly popular Dragon Quest JRPG series follows a young hero on his quest to take down the evil mage Dhoulmagus. On his side are a party of Yangus, a bandit with a heart of gold, Jessica, a high-born magical minx, and Angelo, knight and lothario, who all provide valuable skills in combat.

The classic game has been revamped for its 3DS release, with additional playable characters (Red and Morrie), a full voice-over, new dungeons, post-game story content, and an extended ending. The players can also take and share photos in the 3DS version, and there are new “Photo Quests” to make use of the feature.

Injustice 2 is an upcoming fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. As a sequel to the 2013 title, Injustice: Gods Among Us, its character roster features both returning as well as brand new heroes and villains. According to the publisher, Injustice 2 boasts the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game. More characters are to be added by the way of DLC in the future.

Plot-wise, the game continues where its predecessor left off, with Batman and his allies working to piece society back together while struggling against those who seek to restore Superman’s One Earth Regime. Meanwhile, a new threat appears which forces old enemies to put aside their differences and band together.

Adapted from the popular manga series Berserk, this M-rated hack-and-slash game follows lone mercenary Guts in his quest to take down every last one of the demonic Apostles. Armed with a vast array of different weapons, players can utilize them to their full potential against hordes of enemies in Dynasty Warriors style, one-vs-many battles. Berserk and the Band of the Hawk includes as many as eight playable characters (such as Griffith, Casca, and Schierke), each with their own different fighting styles.

The game is developed by Omega Force and published by Koei Tecmo for PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and Windows in the West. The Japanese version, titled Berserk Musou, also received a PS3 release. It follows “Golden Age” through “Hawk of the Millennium Empire” arcs of the Berserk manga.
