Scarlet Nexus is an upcoming JRPG developed by the talent behind Tales of Vesperia and published by Bandai Namco. Players assume the role of Yuito Sumeragi, a new recruit to the Other Suppression Force (OSF), which is humanity’s last line of defense against deranged mutants known as Others. While Others are immune to conventional weaponry, the OSF wield psionic abilities that allow them to go toe-to-toe with them. Yuito himself possesses the power of psycho-kinesis that enables him to lift or break anything in his vicinity and hurl it at the enemy.

Humankind is a 4X turn-based strategy game from Amplitude Studios and SEGA. In the style of Civilization, players lead their people from humble origins as a Neolithic tribe to the Modern Age, researching technologies, constructing wonders, and waging wars along the way.

Humankind offers intriguing means of customization to ensure that each playthrough is unique. Not only the player’s avatar is customizable, but their civilization can freely adopt any of the 60 historical cultures from the Ancient to the Modern Age, which according to the developer, results in one million possible combinations.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin Box Art

Developed by the two-man team of Edelweiss, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a cross-genre title that combines side-scrolling combat with a crafting and farming simulation. It follows a young harvest goddess Sakuna, who is banished from the celestial capital, where she lived in lazy luxury, to an untamed island teeming with demonic beasts. There, she finds her calling farming rice and bettering the lives of the mortals in the local mountain village. The game is inspired by Japanese mythology, albeit with some original twists, and features a charming cel-shaded art style.

In Frontier Developments’ title Planet Coaster, players build and manage an amusement park. The game offers over 700 pre-made objects across categories such as coasters, facilities, and scenery, and additional player-created objects can be downloaded from the Frontier Workshop.

Planet Coaster has been out on Steam since 2016 and is just now launching on current and next-gen Xbox and PlayStation consoles. The pre-order bonuses detailed below apply specifically to this upcoming Console Edition of the game.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate Box Art

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate combines the previously released Kombat Pack 1, the Aftermath expansion, and the upcoming Kombat Pack 2 that includes Mileena, Rain, and Rambo for a total of 37 playable fighters. This number encompasses all add-on fighters like Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Terminator, Sindel, The Joker, Spawn, Fujin, Sheeva, and RoboCop.

This new complete version of the game runs on next-gen consoles and supports cross-play for select game modes. Free upgrades from Xbox One and PS4 to their next-gen counterparts will be available starting November 17.

Bluepoint Games is remaking the original Demon’s Souls for PlayStation 5. The upcoming remake is exclusive to next-gen hardware and features much improved visuals, faster loading times, 3D audio, and haptic feedback via the new DualSense controller. It can be played in 4K Mode and High Frame Rate Mode.

In Demon’s Souls players venture to Boletaria, a land shrouded in mist and beset by ravenous demons, and hone their skill in the arts of sorcery and war to ultimately send The Old One back to its slumber.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Box Art

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is an action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games exclusively for PlayStation. Story-wise, it picks up where Marvel’s Spider-Man and its DLC The City that Never Sleeps left off, with teenager Miles Morales being bitten by a genetically enhanced spider and gaining powers similar to Peter Parker’s.

Releasing alongside Miles Morales is the remastered first Marvel’s Spider-Man game with all its DLC. It won’t be available for purchase separately, however: players will have to buy either the Miles Morales Ultimate Edition for PS5, which includes a copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered, or buy the regular Miles Morales edition for PS4 and acquire Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered as a paid upgrade.
