Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a block-building RPG from Square Enix that is set in the same universe as the main Dragon Quest JRPG series. It combines the gameplay elements of building, exploration, battling, and completing quests. Story-wise, the game begins with the player washing up on the shores of the deserted Isle of Awakening, befriending a mysterious youth with no memory of his past, and embarking on a journey to defeat the Children of Hargon who worship destruction.

Compared to its 2016 predecessor Dragon Quest Builders, multiplayer is a major addition to the game. Up to four players can play cooperatively via internet or Switch local wireless. It is possible to change the characters’ gender and customize their appearance, visit the other players’ Vacant Islands and invite them to your own, and ride vehicles together.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is a major expansion to Omega Force and Koei Tecmo’s 2018 title Attack on Titan 2, which is based on the worldwide hit anime series. The expansion adds a new Territory Recovery Mode, in which aspiring commanders form their own corps, complete with a unique name and emblem, and battle to reclaim the land outside of the walls. Any playable character, including the custom-made Scout from the last year’s AoT2, can be assigned as the leader. There is also a new Shooting Gear where the traditional blades are replaced by weapons.

Shadowbringers is the third expansion pack to Square Enix’s popular MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV. The expansion raises the level cap to 80 and brings a plethora of new content, chief among which are the Gunbreaker and Dancer jobs, playable female-only Viera and male-only Hrothgar races, and expansive areas including Rak’Tika Greatwood, Amh Araeng, and Il Mheg.

Also new in Shadowbringers are three features to help the players experience the game in different ways. The Trust System allows the player to take on instanced dungeons with familiar NPCs on their side. The New Game+ system lets them replay previously completed or missed quests. Lastly, World Visit opens up the possibility of traveling to other servers on the same data center.

F1 2019 is an officially-licensed racing game based on the 2019 Formula One World Championship. Developed by Codemasters, it is said to be “the most ambitious release” in the history of the franchise, and brings new features including, for the first time, a way for the player to personalize a 2019 regulation car for multiplayer races, and driver transfers between teams.

As this is the tenth installment in the F1 series, the developer is marking it off with an Anniversary Edition (which is actually the standard version of the game) as well as the Legends Edition, both of which are detailed after the jump.

The Sinking City is an action-adventure game with an investigative slant set in an open world haunted by Lovecraftian horrors. Taking on the role of a troubled detective Charles W. Reed, the players will depart for a 1920s city of Oakmont, Massachusetts to investigate a mysterious flood and the darkness corrupting the minds of the citizens.

The game’s world can be explored on foot, by boat, or a diving suit. The investigation system is non-linear, meaning each case can be solved using different methods, and there are different endings depending on the choices made. Monster Jam: Steel Titans is a monster truck game based on the real-life motorsport event. Developed by Rainbow Studios and published by THQ Nordic, it includes 12 stadiums, a massive open world, and a variety of modes such as Head2Head, Freestyle, Waypoint, and timed destruction.

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is a kart racing game developed by Beenox and published by Activision. It is a remaster of the classic PS1 title that was released back in 1999, and stars characters from the Crash Bandicoot series, who race against the alien Nitros Oxide to save their world from destruction.

The HD remaster includes the original game modes, characters, tracks, power-ups, and weapons, and adds new karts and tracks on top of that. There is also online play complete with leader boards and rankings.

Warhammer: Chaosbane is a hack-and-slash action RPG developed by Eko Software and published by Bigben Interactive in association with Games Workshop. Like the name suggests, it is set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. As the Empire of Man recovers from the Great War Against Chaos, a new threat to the fragile peace emerges; it falls to the player to gather allies and battle the hordes of Chaos across the Old World.

While the game can be tackled solo, it is designed from the ground up for cooperative play with up to four players, corresponding to the four available character classes. Both online and local multiplayer are supported.

Chaosbane also offers additional game modes such as boss rush, over 180 different abilities, over 70 monsters, and iconic locations as well as powerful artifacts of the Old World.

Elsweyr is the third expansion pack for The Elder Scrolls Online, and a part of the Season of the Dragon storyline spanning the entire 2019. Two most notable additions include the new Necromancer class with its three unique Skill Lines, and the titular Elsweyr – the homeland of the Khajiit.

The wild and untamed region suffers under the rule of the Imperial usurper queen Euraxia, and burns from the fires of rampaging dragons. It is up to the player to discover what dark purpose lies behind this.

Crystal Crisis is a puzzle-based combat game from Nicalis that features 19 playable characters from their various properties including Quote, Curly Brace, and Ballos from Cave Story+, Isaac from The Binding of Isaac, Princess Solange from Code of Princess EX, and many others. Our World Is Ended is a sci-fi visual novel developed by Red Entertainment and published by PQube. Originally released back in 2017 as a PS Vita title in Japan, the upcoming version for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC is said to include 30% more story content, new characters, and additional event CG.

RAGE 2 is an open-world shooter set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland brought on by an asteroid collision which annihilated 80% of Earth’s population. Co-developed by id Software and Avalanche Studios, the game utilizes the latter’s proprietary Avalanche engine to bring its dystopian world to life.

According to the publisher Bethesda, RAGE 2 features brutal vehicular combat (allowing the player to pilot anything from monster trucks to gyrocopters), extensive range of upgradeable weapons, devastating Nanotrite powers, and Overdrive mechanic which rewards aggressive gameplay. Zanki Zero: Last Beginning is a survival-themed JRPG developed by Lancarse and published by Spike Chunsoft. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, and follows eight protagonists as they explore ruins, dungeons, and islands, fight for survival, and search for meaning.
