Dragon’s Dogma is an upcoming action RPG from Capcom. The game’s main quest line involves hunting down a giant red dragon which stole your heart (as in, ripped it out of your chest and made away with it). In addition, Dragon’s Dogma has a vast open world for you to explore, and a large number of side quests.
The game offers three basic classes (vocations): Fighter, Strider, and Mage. These can later be upgraded to second tier vocations, or combined together into hybrid classes like Mystic Knight or Magic Archer. The players will also be assisted by several NPC companions (pawns) which can follow basic commands and help you defeat some of the game’s tougher enemies.
Pre-order bonuses
First of all, everyone who buys a new copy of Dragon’s Dogma will receive a download code for the Resident Evil 6 demo. This isn’t a pre-order bonus, but obviously early customers will get to try RE6 sooner. Now on to the exclusive items:
- Amazon: Weapon Upgrade Pack will give you higher-level weapons to start with – an Iron Sword if you pick a Fighter, a Criteria for Striders, and a Wooden Staff for Mages. In addition, you also get $10 store credit.
- GameStop: Pawn Upgrade Pack lets you start the game with 2,000 Rift Crystals already in your pockets, allowing you to higher more powerful Pawns right away. In addition, Aestella’s shop in Cassardis will have more items for sale.
- Best Buy: for more defensive-minded players, Armor Upgrade Pack will provide a 3-piece “Farewell” armor set (Hood, Gloves, and Cloak).
UK gamers can actually get all three DLC packs with Dragon’s Dogma preorders at ShopTo.net while supplies last – a better deal than offered by the aforementioned US retailers.
