Latest in 2K’s long-running basketball simulator series, NBA 2K20 is said to deliver best-in-class graphics and gameplay, fan-favorite game modes, and improved player control and customization. The open-world Neighborhood mode seen in previous titles is making a return as well. NBA 2K20 also includes WNBA for the first time in the franchise.

The cover athlete for the Standard and Deluxe editions of the game is the six-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis of New Orleans Pelicans, while the Legend Edition cover is graced by the retired three-time NBA champion Dwayne Wade.

Marvel's Avengers Box Art

Marvel’s Avengers is a third-person action-adventure game that tells an original story beginning with the unveiling of the Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco. When an experimental reactor powering their Helicarrier explodes devastating the city, the Avengers are blamed for the casualties and are forced to disband. Years later, a young Kamala Khan sets out to reassemble the Avengers and stop the villain organization AIM.

Marvel’s Avengers can be played solo or in an online co-op of up to four players. The heroes can be customized with unlockable gear and skills. The game’s cinematic story will continue in content drops post-launch, with new regions and heroes delivered free of charge as long as the player already owns the core game.

The latest installment in EA Sports’ hockey simulator series makes NHL stars more authentic with new Signature Shots powered by the company’s Real Player Motion Tech. The biggest plays are said to look even better thanks to a revamped broadcast package, and there are three new game modes to boot. HUT Squad Battles feature weekly teams to challenge for unique rewards, ONES can now be played with friends on the couch, and the Eliminator offers a brand new battle royale format competition.

As was the case with its predecessors, NHL 20 has special editions with pre-order rewards that are detailed after the jump.

MXGP 2019 Box Art

MXGP 2019 is the latest motorcross simulator from Italian developer Milestone. It includes all the season’s riders, bikes, and teams of MXGP and MX2 classes, allowing the player to experience official race events from all around the world.

The game comes with new modes, namely Track Editor, Waypoint, and the upgraded Playground training area. The long-requested Track Editor can be used to create custom tracks in four different landscapes (forest, dunes, hills, jungle) and share them with the community.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is an action RPG from Square Enix that retells the story of the original 1997 game in high definition. Like the title implies, it is not merely a port but a ground-up remake with new environments, character models, soundtrack, and modernized gameplay mechanics.

The story of Final Fantasy 7 follows Cloud Strife, a former soldier of the shadowy Shinra corporation which is utilizing the planet’s very life force as an energy source. After being hired by a resistance group Avalanche, he fights alongside his new comrades to save the planet.

Watch Dogs Legion is an open-world action-adventure game from Ubisoft. Taking place in a dystopian near-future version of London that is swarming with surveillance drones and deportation squads, it involves recruiting ordinary people into the hacktivist group DedSec to take a stand against the authoritarian government and greedy corporations.

An ambitious system called Play as Anyone allows the player to recruit and play as any procedurally generated NPC – be they an old lady or a hulking gangster. Each recruit possesses their own unique backstory and skill set, and can be swapped between according to mission requirements.

Gears 5 Box Art

Gears 5 is an upcoming installment in the Gears of War shooter franchise developed by The Coalition. As an Xbox Play Anywhere title, the same digital copy can be played on Xbox One consoles and Windows 10 PCs. The game will be included in the Xbox Game Pass library at launch. There is no season pass, and all new maps added post-launch will be available for free.

The protagonist of Gears 5 is Kait Diaz, an Outsider turned Gear who is tormented by visions of the Swarm and goes AWOL in search for answers. The game is said to have “the deepest campaign yet” as well as five multiplayer modes including Escape: a new class-based co-op mode where three players work against the clock (and a bunch of Swarm) to blow up a Hive and get out alive.
