Super Bomberman R features the traditional gameplay of the long-lived Bomberman series, with the players navigating two-dimensional levels and using bombs to trap and defeat their enemies. There is a Story Mode with support for 2-player co-op, a Battle Mode for up to 4 local or 8 online players, and lastly, a competitive Grand Prix mode with 3v3 team battles.

Developed by Konami and HexaDrive, Super Bomberman R has already seen a release on Nintendo Switch consoles. The information below is concerning specifically the upcoming simultaneous launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Summerset is the second full expansion to The Elder Scrolls Online following last year’s Morrowind. It opens up the Summerset Isle, the land of the High Elves, as a new area to explore. New content includes an epic main story quest line, a skill line based on the magic of the Psijic Order, jewelry crafting, and group PvE challenges including Cloudrest, a 12-player Trial.

As was the case with Morrowind, the upcoming expansion is available both as a digital upgrade for existing players, and as a full-priced game (including the base ESO) for newcomers. There are also pre-purchase bonuses to be had, which are detailed below as usual.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 Box Art

Following the success of Yakuza Kiwami, the HD remake of the original Yakuza (2006), Sega is gearing up to release a similarly remade Yakuza 2 – titled predictably Yakuza Kiwami 2.

Much like its predecessor, the upcoming game runs on Sega’s Dragon Engine, and features completely remade visuals of the characters, as well as seamless maps of the Osaka and Tokyo areas the story takes place in. Voice lines and cutscenes have also been re-recorded, any inconsistencies in the script have been smoothed over, and there are challenging mini-games that hadn’t been present in the original title.

Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time Box Art

Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time is an upcoming action RPG based on the popular anime series from Studio Trigger. Developed by APlus Games and published by Bandai Namco, it will see a localized digital release on PlayStation Store and Steam this May.

The JRPG follows the main character of the show, Akko, as well as her friends Sucy and Lotte on their adventures in the Luna Nova Magical Academy for young witches. It also features cutscenes animated by the creators of the original series. In addition to the story mode, there is an online and offline co-op as well as an online two-player battle mode with various victory conditions.

Code of Princess EX Box Art

Code of Princess EX is a frantic hack-and-slash game with role-playing elements developed by Studio Saizensen and published by Nicalis for Nintendo Switch. There are over 50 different playable characters that can be upgraded with new abilities and equipment, and played in campaign mode as well as cooperative and competitive online multiplayer.

Originally released five years back for Nintendo 3DS and later Microsoft Windows platforms as Code of Princess, the new version comes with “HD graphics, a local co-op option and numerous other gameplay additions and enhancements”, according to Nicalis’ press release. The first-print copies of the game also come with a bonus – more on that after the jump.

Kirby: Star Allies Box Art

Kirby Star Allies is an upcoming 2D platformer developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for their Switch console. It will be the first game of the series to be published on the Switch.

This newest Kirby title brings back classic gameplay along with some new mechanics. Kirby’s returning copy abilities include Sword, Fire, Water, Bomb, Broom, and many more – and they now may be imbued with elements such as fire or electricity in order to solve puzzles or unleash powerful attacks. Up to three enemies can be recruited as helpers by hitting them with hearts. These can be controlled by the CPU or up to 3 other players with the horizontal Joy-Con controller configuration, or 8 Joy-Con with 4 Joy-Con Grips.
