Imperator: Rome is a grand strategy game from the masters of the genre at Paradox Interactive. Set in the tumultuous time period from Wars of Alexander’s Successors to the founding of the Roman Empire, the game invites the player to change the course of history in the Mediterranean.

In order to do so, the player will have to govern their provinces and command their armies and fleets while ensuring that their diverse population – made up of ctizens, freemen, tribesmen, and slaves, each with their own culture – remain content with their rule.

Mortal Kombat 11 is a fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. It features a roster of new and returning fighters – 25 in total at launch – and a cinematic story mode which follows the events of the previous installment.

Numerous changes were made to the gameplay mechanics, such as separation of the meter into horizontal (offensive) and vertical (defensive), as well as addition of Fatal Blows, which become available when he player’s health drops below 30%.

World War Z is a third-person co-op shooter for four players developed by Saber Interactive and published by Mad Dog Games. Based on the movie of the same name, the fast-paced game pits players against swarms of zombies in New York, Moscow, and Jerusalem.

World War Z features six classes with unique abilities and play styles, and supports both local and online co-op. For improved replayability, it uses procedural enemy and item spawning that is based on the players’ performance. Zanki Zero: Last Beginning is a survival-themed JRPG developed by Lancarse and published by Spike Chunsoft. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, and follows eight protagonists as they explore ruins, dungeons, and islands, fight for survival, and search for meaning.

The protagonists are all clones with a 13-day lifespan, and age and die only to be reborn again in a constant cycle. Their combat abilities differ depending on whether they’re in their young, adult, or old form.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission is a strategic card battle game featuring over 350 characters from the entire Dragon Ball franchise. It is developed by Japanese studio DIMPS and published by Bandai Namco, and is the first title in the series to see a Western release.

The game is set in an alternate universe where the Dragon Ball card game is the most popular form of entertainment. When villains from the game suddenly appear in the real world and start wreaking havoc, it is up to protagonist Beat – a card player aspiring to become the world champion – to team up with famous Dragon Ball heroes and save the day. Tropico 6 is a construction and management simulator that puts the player into the role of a dictator of an island nation, and tasks them with building up the economy, keeping the citizens happy, and staying in power. It is the first entry in the Tropico series to be developed by German studio Limbic Entertainment.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is a 3v3 tag fighting game developed by nWay, a studio more commonly known for free-to-play mobile games. It offers three modes – Casual, Ranked, and Story – as well as cross-platform play.

The game’s starting roster comprises Tommy, Gia, Jason, Lord Drakkon, Goldar, Kat Manx, Mastodon Sentry, Ranger Slayer, and Magna Defender. According to the developer, more current and classic Rangers will be added as DLC post-launch.

GWENT, the strategic card game set in The Witcher universe, is getting its first expansion this month. Titled GWENT: Crimson Curse, it brings more than a 100 new cards – 31 neutral and 14 faction cards per faction – and includes new archetypes as well as status effects like Bleed or Poison.

Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World is the latest installment in the Atelier franchise developed by Gust and published in the West by Koei Tecmo. In a departure from the past titles, it focused on town building rather than alchemy, although it still retains the familiar elements of resource gathering, battles, and synthesis.

The player takes on the role of Nelke, a young noblewoman who longs to become an alchemist, but lacks the talent. After she is appointed the governor of a frontier village, it falls to her to develop it into a thriving city. Outward is an open-world action RPG developed by Nine Dots Studio and published by Maximum Games. The game aims to simulate the life of an adventurer in a grim and gritty fantasy world: the player character has to hunt, eat, sleep, and heal, their weapons and armor break, and magic spells, while powerful, require consumable components and extensive preparation. Furthermore, the game world is constantly saving, so the player has to live with bad decisions rather than reload.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by FromSoftware, the creator of Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Unlike those titles, Sekiro does not have character creation nor an extensive array of weaponry, with the protagonist instead wielding a katana throughout the entire game, supplementing it with various ninja techniques.

The Division 2 is an open-world, online-only shooter with RPG elements developed by Massive Entertainment and published by their parent company, Ubisoft. Compared to its predecessor, it is larger in scope and scale, and provides more end-game content and character customization. The latter includes Specializations – a new form of progression unlocked after completing the main campaign that grants your agent access to elite weapons and Sharpshooter, Demolitionist, or Survivalist skill trees.

One Piece: World Seeker is a third-person action-adventure game developed in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the bestselling manga One Piece. It features an open-world environment and an original setting.

The game starts with Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates finding themselves marooned on Jewel Island, whose inhabitants are split into Pro-Navy and Anti-Navy factions. Luffy must work together with Jeanne, the leader of the Anti-Navy group, to overthrow Isaac, the warden of an enormous prison which casts its shadow over the entire island. Devil May Cry 5 is the latest installment in Capcom’s hack’n’slash series Devil May Cry. Dante and Nero make a return as protagonists, and along with a new playable character, V, battle their way through hordes of demons. Left Alive is a third-person shooter from Square Enix whose development team boasts industry veterans who worked on Metal Gear and Armored Core series. Set in year 2127, it tells the story of three different characters struggling to survive the Garmoniyan invasion of Novo Slava.

RemiLore: Lost Girl in the Lands of Lore is a roguelite hack-and-slash game with colorful anime-style visuals. It is developed by Pixellore along with REMIMORY, both South Korean indie companies, with physical release handled by Nicalis.

The game follows the adventures of an ordinary schoolgirl, Remi, who finds herself transported to a fantastical world of Ragnoah alongside a talking magic book Lore. DiRT Rally 2.0 is an off-road racing game from Codemasters. A spin-off of the main DiRT series from the save developer, it is generally considered more difficult and realistic, leaning towards simulation rather than arcade.

Anthem is a sci-fi themed cooperative action RPG developed by BioWare and published by EA. It is set in a world left unfinished by gods, and thus teeming with colossal beasts, otherworldly artifacts, vast ruins, and monsters corrupted by the titular Anthem – the source of all creation.

Mankind’s hopes of survival in this savage place hinge on Freelancers: pilots of powerful and highly-customizable Javelin exosuits, which enable humans to explore the frontier and engage fearsome enemies as equals.

Storyline aside, Anthem functions as an always-online multiplayer game where up to four players can play together in a contiguous open world. The Javelins may be upgraded and customized visually to reflect the player’s achievements. EA has confirmed that Anthem only features coop and not PvP – at least at launch.
