Returnal is a third-person roguelike shooter from Finnish developer Housemarque. The game follows Selene, a space explorer who crash-lands on a shape-shifting planet filled with alien horrors. She finds herself fighting for survival – and each time she dies, she wakes up again right before the crash, with her surroundings and enemies transformed.
As a PlayStation 5 exclusive, Returnal comes with full next-gen feature support including fast loading, adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and Tempest 3D audio on supported headsets.
Pre-order Bonuses
Pre-order Returnal to receive two bonus in-game suits for Selene:
- ASTRA Model 14 Tactical Suit
- ASTRA Model 9 Prototype Suit
At the time of writing, the bonus was only listed on PlayStation Store, but it is likely to make its way to brick-and-mortar retailers as well.
Deluxe Edition ($79.99)
Returnal‘s digital Deluxe Edition costs $10 more than the standard one and comes with the following extras:
- Electropylon Driver weapon
- Hollowseeker weapon
- One Reflex Stimulant consumable
- One Pulsating Mass artifact
- One Adrenaline Booster
- PSN avatars for PS5
- Digital soundtrack
- Two in-game suits (pre-order bonus)
