Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Special Editions & Differences)

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a life simulation game from Nintendo that takes place on a deserted island. It offers a robust crafting system and a variety of activities like gardening, fishing and decorating. There also are many unique villagers to interact with, both new ones and those familiar from the previous installments.

New Horizons‘s multiplayer mode allows up to eight players to reside on a single island via online multiplayer or local wireless. Furthermore, four players can play together on a single system. The game supports all Nintendo Switch modes.

Pre-order Bonuses

While there are no general pre-order bonuses for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, retailers in the States are trying to entice buyers with exclusive physical goodies. As is usually the case with physical bonuses, quantities are limited, so make sure to check if the offer is still available.

First off, reserving your copy at Walmart nets you a bonus ACNH tote bag depicted below:

Bell Bag Bundle ($64.99)

Best Buy is also accepting pre-orders for Animal Crossing: New Horizons bundled with a replica of the in-game Bell Bag depicted above (picture not to scale). This does bump the price up to $65, but is cheaper than buying the game and the bag separately.

Special Nintendo Switch Edition ($299.99)

Nintendo has announced an official Animal Crossing: New Horizons-themed Switch console with pastel green and blue Joy-Con controllers and a white Dock, adorned with images of characters from the game. A copy of the game itself is not included and will have to be purchased separately.
