Thanks. It seems Walmart has the Apocalyptic Pack in the US. It’s only listed on their website under Ultimate Edition at the moment but they probably just haven’t updated all the descriptions yet.

Update: now listed on both editions.

Any idea if Walmart Canada is also offering the Apocalyptic Pack for either pre-order edition? It is not advertised on the Canadian website.

Does this pack include the game or is this just an add on ?

  • Anonymous's avatar

Can more than one of these packs be used in-game, during the same play through? Are these packs similar to in-game lootboxes/microtransactions, assuming there are any?

    Thanks for the information.

There’s a small game store in Finland: “puolenkuun pelit” and they don’t know yet which preorder bonus they will be selling. They say later on they might know. If anyone else knows already, please say so. All they know is that u can preorder the “basic game” or the “Ultimate Edition”.

So, the state of decay: year 1 survival edition with the ultimate edition. How long after pre-order does the code normally get emailed to you?

First time player here, got hooked on this game recently. Are there any benefits to one pack or the other? Or do they all just help in slightly different ways?

    • Anonymous's avatar
      April 28, 2018 at 18:37

Good question and in all honesty, aside from the vehicle, weapon, and supplies, there isn’t much difference between the different pre-orders. It’s completely up to you and how you wanna play. Building materials are definitely up there in priority for me, so you can build up your base and fix you’re vehicles, but whether you want a little extra food, medicine, ammo, or double down on building materials is gonna vary greatly on what you feel will benefit you more. They’re all very valuable in their own sense.

As far as I know it acts as every other weapon, it can be repaired and improved as normal, hope this helps ^^

There is the usual warning that things are subject to change but it was clarified in the FAQ that so far the ultimate and standard digital editions both have the same pre-order pack and:

    1. The code for each bonus pack can be transferred and the only known exception “so far” was purchases from Microsoft, which does NOT enable transfer of the bonus separately from the player’s registered game.

    2. A player whose account has added pre-order bonuses can activate each bonus once for each game created and the bonus items are consumed when used, except for the option to respawn the vehicle subject to a cooldown and an influence payment.

    3. Weapons and vehicles can be repaired if not broken (maybe some components of broken equipment might be used for parts) Repairs might require skill or components.

    4. The weapons, materials, and the skill books in particular are of interest to me. Getting a head start on farming, medicine, restoring utilities, crafting, and computers are each useful for the player and (I hope) to help out other players with their base set up and upgrade in coop. Collecting all the bonuses might be excessive but also useful. Friends can coordinate their pre-order bonuses to have diverse specialties.

    5. Don’t know if bonus weapons and materials can be given or traded to other players like other items. Would be cool, right?

See the pre-order FAQ. Be seeing you

Anyone have any idea how to get all the pre-order stuff once in game? I saw how to call in the care packages and the car, but i am unable to find the weapon anywhere. I got the GameStop (S.H.T.F) version, and i cant find the “Zeddpiercer” weapon that comes with it anywhere, and i could really use a nice blunt weapon right about now.

The packages drop in two separate places. The Zed piercer comes in a separate drop and there should be three in the crate with nothing else.

i have all 6 pre order dlc and tbh it gives a major advantage early game weapons wise but you will need 2 things parts and ammo in abundance so if you want the easy life call in the drops as soon as you start otherwise do what i fo wait till late game day 50 onwards before calling them in so then you get a nive array of weapons first before you get the waht i call game breaker weapons

note before you do final legacy mission load each community member with weapons, facility mods etc and a resource rucksack as these carry over to a new game once you finish a community after all waste not want not
