Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle is a 2v2 tag team fighter developed and published by Japanese studio Arc System Works. As a crossover title, it boasts a cast of characters from several different franchises, namely BlazBlue itself, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth, and RWBY. While the game retains the fast-paced gameplay that the series is known for, the controls are changed significantly to accommodate the new fighters.

BBTAG is to launch in the West with a full English dub and 20 characters in the base game. The roster can be expanded to a total of 40 through future Character Packs.

Pre-order Bonuses

Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle - Mini-Soundtrack

Pre-order the standard physical edition of Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle ($49.99) through participating retailers (Amazon, GameStop, or Best Buy) to receive a bonus mini CD featuring seven select tracks from the game.

Meanwhile, PSN pre-orders get into the open beta earlier – from May 9 through 12.

Digital Deluxe Edition

The Deluxe Digital Edition costs $69.99 and includes the base game as well as the Cross Tag Character Collection, which grants all 6 Character Packs.

If you go for the regular edition instead, each Character Pack can also be purchased separately for $4.99, or the entire Character Collection for $19.99.

Collector’s Edition

Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle - Collector's Edition

The limited Collector’s Edition is priced at $99.99 and contains the following:

  • Base game for PS4 or Switch with Reversible Cover Sleeve
  • Steelbook game case
  • Collector’s Edition Box
  • Full color 52 page artbook
  • 15-song soundtrack
  • 4 acrylic figures featuring BlazBlue’s Ragna, Persona’s Yu, Under Night In-Birth’s Hyde, and RWBY’s Ruby

It will become available for pre-order through Arc System Works Gear store on May 4, as well as the Official Rooster Teeth store on June 5.

Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle is scheduled to launch on June 5, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows platforms.
