Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night is a gothic side-scrolling action RPG produced and written by former Castlevania series producer Koji Igarashi. It is co-developed by ArtPlay, DICO and WayForward Technologies, and published by 505 Games. The game was successfully crowded on Kickstarter back in 2015, but had to be delayed until this year to raise the quality level.
The protagonist of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is Miriam, an orphan scarred by an alchemist’s curse which causes her body to slowly crystallize. To save humanity and end her curse, she has to battle her way through a demon-infested castle and defeat their summoner.
Pre-order the Nintendo Switch version of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night via Best Buy to receive a FuturePak steel case pictured below:
The case is designed to hold both Switch cartridges and Blu-ray discs, but unfortunately does not seem to be available for Xbox One or PlayStation 4 – at least not as a free bonus. Existing Kickstarter backers may purchase these for $14.99 directly from the publisher 505 Games.
As for digital pre-purchases, Steam is offering a 10% discount, whereas PSN has a dynamic Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night theme.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is scheduled to be released on June 18, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC. Nintendo Switch release will follow a week later on June 25.
