Journey to the Savage Planet is a colorful and upbeat first-person exploration game developed by Typhoon Studios. Players take on the role of an interstellar explorer who gets dropped into an uncharted world AR-Y 26 to catalog the alien flora and fauna that inhabit it. Gameplay involves exploring the planet, analyzing and facing off against its wacky creatures, and upgrading gear to open up new areas.
Journey to the Savage Planet can be tackled solo or in an online co-op with a friend.
Pre-order Bonuses
The standard edition of Journey to the Savage Planet is set to launch at $29.99. Pre-order it to receive two bonus in-game items:
- Kindred Aerospace Pistol Charm: grants an increased chance at better loot drops when equipped
- Martin Tweed Digital Bobblehead: a decoration for the in-game Javelin habitat
PC and PlayStation 4 players also enjoy a 10% discount when buying via Epic Games Store and PSN (Microsoft Store is notably lacking in this regard). Furthermore, PSN has the usual bonus of a dynamic theme, while Epic Games Store is offering a wallpaper that becomes available for download immediately after placing the order.
In North America, Journey to the Savage Planet will be available digitally for Xbox One, PS4, and PC (exclusively via Epic Games Store) starting January 28, 2020. A worldwide retail release will follow on January 31.
