Originally a 3D arcade fighting game in Japan, Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Maxiboost On is making its way to PlayStation 4 in the West. Players purchase mobile suits using points and participate in 2v2 mecha combat featuring three Ex Burst systems: Fighting Burst, Extend Burst, and Shooting Burst. All 183 suits from the arcade iterations of Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. are playable, and the game also brings 2 new ones.

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Maxiboost On can be played in single-player, two-player split-screen, LAN Connection Battle, and online battle modes for up to 4 players. The Western release features Japanese voiceover with English subtitles.

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Maxiboost On is scheduled to launch on July 30, 2020. For 6 weekends prior to launch, Bandai Namco will be running an open access online demo which every PS4 owner can play. The aforementioned pre-order bonus allows extra overnight play.
