Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is the PS5 enhanced version of the critically acclaimed action RPG game Final Fantasy VII Remake that came out for the PS4 on April 10th, 2020. The Final Fantasy series is developed by Square Enix and it is their most successful IP with having sold over 130 million units sold.

Final Fantasy VII Remake PS4 owners do get a free upgrade to the PS5 enhanced copy but will not get access to any of the PS5 exclusive content as that will have to be purchased separately. The PS5 exclusive content includes the “Yuffie Episode” which is an extra set of story missions following the story of Yuffie Kisaragi and she is available as a playable character.

Aside from that, the PS5 version also introduces a photo mode which was missing from the PS4 copy and includes new difficulty settings as well.

Cacstar Weapon

The first Final Fantasy Game came out in 1987 for the NES and the series has had over 40 different games including the various spin offs and re-releases over the years. The series has had its fair share of remasters with the games releasing on newer hardware. But Final Fantasy VII Remake was the first time Square Enix dipped into remaking an old game from the ground up.

FF VII Remake is drastically different from the original game that came out in 1997 for the PS1. The game went away from turn based RPG title and moved towards our action RPG approach. The story also takes some stylistic choices and is more fleshed out from the original game.

Standard Edition – $69.99

3max

Includes the base game with the Yuffie Episode and the Cacstar Weapon as a Pre-Order Bonus.

The Cacstar Weapon will also be available for purchase separately on PSN after the game is out.

Digital Deluxe Edition – (89.99, Only on PSN)

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes everything the Standard Edition includes but it also offers a Digital Artbook and Digital Mini-Soundtrack that is a great addition that all the hardcore Final Fantasy fans are for sure to enjoy.

In my opinion, the best place to Pre-Order this game is at GameStop if you can secure the Steel book as it looks great and is a great addition for any collector. But if you are looking for the digital Artbook and Digital Mini-Soundtrack, you only have the choice of pre-ordering from PSN.

The game comes out on June 10th, 2021 on the PlayStation 5.
