This game was released on November 20, 2020 and is no longer available to pre-order. Any incentives that were offered are listed below.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a spin-off of the main The Legend of Zelda series developed by Omega Force and Team Ninja, the makers of Dynasty Warriors franchise. It plays similarly to the Musou games the developer is famed for, pitting heroes like Link and Zelda against hordes of barbaric Bokoblins, towering Lynels, and other foes.
Like the title suggests, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity takes place during the second Great Calamity, when Ganon plunged Hyrule into darkness a century before the events in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Pre-order Bonus
Pre-order Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity digitally via Nintendo eShop to receive a bonus in-game item: the Lucky Ladle. It can be equipped for battle alongside a Pot Lid or fused with other weapons for a stat boost. The Lucky Ladle won’t be included with the retail version of the game, but it may be offered for sale at some point after launch. Link certainly looks dashing wielding it:
Physical pre-orders won’t be left without a bonus either. Pre-ordering at GameStop will net you an exclusive Guardian Keychain depicted below.
Breath of the Wild Save Bonus
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild players who have the save data on their Switch will receive a wooden Training Sword for Link. As reported by IGN, when paired with a Pot Lid shield, the bonus weapon will occasionally auto-guard enemy attacks.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch on November 20, 2020.
