Left Alive is a third-person shooter from Square Enix whose development team boasts industry veterans who worked on Metal Gear and Armored Core series. Set in year 2127, it tells the story of three different characters struggling to survive the Garmoniyan invasion of Novo Slava.
The game drops the player into a city turned a burning war zone and swarming with enemy troops, armored vehicles, and towering mechs. Most of Left Alive is played on foot, but there is also giant mech combat toward the latter part of the single-player campaign.
Pre-order Bonuses
Pre-ordering Left Alive grants an automatic upgrade to Day One Edition, adding a DLC pack and assorted digital goodies on top of the base game. The exact bonuses depend on the platform (Steam or PS4).
PlayStation 4 Day One Edition contains the Survival Pack DLC:
- US-11-15 Klyuch: a special color variant of the US-11-15 Klyuch rifle with different stats from the standard version.
- Ammo Pack: extra bullets for the characters’ firearms.
- Light Body Armor: worn under outerwear to reduce the amount of damage taken from attacks.
- Recovery Pack: restores the player’s health.
- Grenade Pack: a set of grenades with different capabilities.
Digital pre-orders on PlayStation Store also receive an exclusive Left Alive static theme.
Steam Day One Edition instead includes a digital soundtrack sampler featuring music from the game, a set of five wallpapers with designs by Yoji Shinkawa of Kojima Productions, and the slightly-different Destructive DLC Pack:
- US-13-7 Padub (SP) Weapon.
- Ammo Pack: extra bullets for the characters’ firearms.
- Light Body Armor: worn under outerwear to reduce the amount of damage taken from attacks.
- Recovery Pack: restores the player’s health.
Mech Edition ($159.99)
Available in limited quantities (3,000 units worldwide) directly from Square Enix Store, the Mech Edition comes with the following extras:
- Collector’s Box: features artwork by Yoji Shinkawa.
- Volk Action Figure: ~17 cm tall, features 40 points of articulation and a set of interchangeable weapons.
- 80-page Hardcover Artbook: includes character and mech designs, as well as concept art of Left Alive.
- Hardback Art Collection: an 80-page art book that

Left Alive is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4 and Steam on March 5th, 2019.
