Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Special Editions & Differences)

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is an action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games exclusively for PlayStation. Story-wise, it picks up where Marvel’s Spider-Man and its DLC The City that Never Sleeps left off, with teenager Miles Morales being bitten by a genetically enhanced spider and gaining powers similar to Peter Parker’s.

Releasing alongside Miles Morales is the remastered first Marvel’s Spider-Man game with all its DLC. It won’t be available for purchase separately, however: players will have to buy either the Miles Morales Ultimate Edition for PS5, which includes a copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered, or buy the regular Miles Morales edition for PS4 and acquire Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered as a paid upgrade.

Pre-order Bonuses

Pre-order Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales from PlayStation Store or participating retailers to receive the following in-game bonuses:

• T.R.A.C.K. Suit: designed by Javier Garrón, one of the talented Marvel artists on the Miles Morales: Spider-Man comic book series. Zip up the Time Response Activated Circuit Kinetic (T.R.A.C.K.) Suit and unlock the Untrackable Suit Mod.
• Into the Spider-Verse Suit: inspired by the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated film, the suit features movie-like animations, a purposely lowered frame rate,  and comic-style onomatopoeia.
• Gravity Well Gadget: get a web up with the early unlock of the Gravity Well Gadget. Pull enemies together to knock them down and disarm them with this new combat device.
• Extra Skill Points: learn new powers and combat abilities more quickly with three extra skill points to spend.

To receive these bonuses when buying at retail, make certain you’re getting the Launch Edition – whether it’s the Standard Launch Edition ($49.99) or the Ultimate Launch Edition detailed below. As per PlayStation Blog, launch copies are available in limited quantities and include a voucher to unlock the aforementioned perks.

Ultimate Edition ($69.99)

The Ultimate Launch Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is only available for PlayStation 5 and bundles a copy of the upcoming game with its remastered predecessor:

• A copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
• A copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered

Of course, if you pre-order it you will also receive the bonuses mentioned earlier. The Ultimate Edition is sold both digitally and at retail.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is scheduled to launch on November 12, 2020 on PlayStation 4 as well as on PlayStation 5 as a launch title.
