Resident Evil 6 Pre-Order Bonuses

Resident Evil 6 Box Art

This game was released on October 02, 2012 and is no longer available to pre-order. Any incentives that were offered are listed below.

RE6 is the newest Resident Evil installment that takes place in 2013, more than 14 years after the Raccoon City incident. The game features both Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield as playable characters. The third protagonist is Jake Muller – a mercenary and the son of Albert Wesker. The characters start out in the United States, China, and Eastern Europe, respectively, but eventually all three storylines converge in China. According to the devs, that is where most of the action is going to take place.

Resident Evil 6 plays like a third-person shooter with an over-the-shoulder camera. The game finally allows the players to move while shooting. It is also possible to dodge to the sides and take cover behind objects. The game includes splitscreen and online co-op, as well as competitive multiplayer.

THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!! OMG, OMG, OMG!!! THE ONLY GAME THAT I DO REALLY CARE FOR THE MOST THIS YEAR!!! This is the most ambitious RE title to date with a lot of love & care poured while developing it. What’s not to love?
    1. ZOMBIES ARE BACK along with some new enemies variety & enhanced AI with various attack movements.
    2. Dark & creepy environments made a return.
    3. Leon & Chris are playable in 1 (one) same game.
    4. Interesting story with multiple scenarios & multiple characters just like back in the old days (RE 1 & RE 2). Even the story & new characters for this game are interesting & believable for RE universe (thankfully that girl isn’t Ashley, phew). Hopefully they’ll add scenario B for every character, just like in RE 2.
    5. Enhanced gameplay mechanics (move & gun, dodging, sliding, hiding behind cover, shooting from the ground, taking enemies weapon to attack themselves, etc).
    6. Variety of gameplay experiences set on various countries (USA, China, & Europe), such as: old school horror theme with Leon, action oriented style of RE 4 & RE 5 with Chris, & RE 3 Nemesis style with Jake.

TBH I loved 1, 2, 3, and CV. But 4 and 5 just aren’t my thing. Sadly it looks like RE6 will follow 4 and 5 instead of old school classic RE. Too action game-like, and zombies with guns? lolwut.

Yes, RE 1, 2, 3, & CV are the classic REs & I love them so much. But I’m all in with 4 (not 5) other than the silly background story which is saving the kidnapped president’s daughter LOL.

4 has introduced us to a new & better control scheme & mechanism which has been used by almost all of action games these days (the infamous over-the-shoulder-aim). It also still has the survival horror element while also more action oriented than past installments.

But 5 is the one which overdid it in my opinion. 5 is like saying “Good bye survival horror.” Annoying co-op mechanism, no more inventory system, too-often-checkpoints which restricted us from doing re-explorations, & almost all levels/ environments are sooooo bright.

In 6, I’m so happy that they’re bringing back zombies. The infected (not zombies) are holding guns just like in RE4 & RE5 because they could still think, they’re a different kind of breed of enemies, they’re maniacs & some of them are evolving. I think it’s not quite new to RE4, we could already see evolving enemies since in earlier RE, like William Birkin in RE2, only in a larger number since RE4, not only bosses.

i disagree, there was no real survival horror element in 4 at all, and i wouldnt say you really could explore in 4 as much as classics. also, birkin wasnt an evolution he was simply infected by a completely different strain of virus he developed and used upon himself

I think the reason why some of the zombies are holding weapon is because before they became zombies, those once-humans were defending themselves using those weapons & then died while still holding on those weapons. So it’s quite make sense to me.

While the infected (not zombies) are holding guns just like in RE4 & RE5 because they could still think, they’re a different kind of breed of enemies, they’re maniacs & some of them are evolving. I think it’s not quite new to RE4, we could already see it since in earlier RE, like William Birkin in RE2, only in a larger number since RE4, not only bosses.

I always love the variety of enemies within RE universe/ series. I’m so glad they brought back zombies in RE6.
