Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Pre-Order Bonuses (Special Editions & Differences)

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a tactical shooter by Ubisoft which pits two teams of five against each other in various multiplayer modes. Players can choose from a number of classes – or Operators, as the game calls them – which are divided into defensive and offensive types, and have different skillsets.

Rainbow 6 Siege emphasizes teamwork and features procedural destruction, an important element of the gameplay. Attackers can utilize devices like breach charges or the hammer wielded by the Sledge class to destroy walls and open up new paths to their target, whereas the defending side can use barricades and barbed wire to delay or ambush the enemy.

The game also has single-player as well as co-op modes, including the fan-favorite, wave-based TerroHunt. The enemy this time is a new mysterious organization known as the White Masks.

Pre-order bonuses

Pre-order Rainbow Six Siege at any of the participating retailers and you will gain guaranteed access to the closed beta which starts on 9/24/2015 (do not forget to redeem your closed beta access code on Ubisoft’s website). You will also get a Gold Weapon Skins Pack DLC, which, like the name suggests, adds some bling to all in-game weapons.

In addition, GameStop is offering an exclusive 72-hour Renown Boost, granting you a 50% personal bonus as well as a 10% Team Boost. The latter can be stacked up to 95% if all members of the team possess the Boost.

Those looking for a more substantial incentive might consider pre-ordering at Best Buy ($10 in Reward Certificates) or Microsoft Store ($10 Xbox gift card).

Gold Edition

The Gold Edition costs $30 more than the standard one, and includes the game itself plus a season pass. Of course, the aforementioned pre-order incentives apply to this edition as well.

Collector’s Edition

The massive North American CE costs $150 and is a Uplay Shop exclusive, with only 500 units available. It consists of the following:

• Game and Season Pass
• Steelbook: exclusively designed for this Collector’s Edition, features FBI Operatives on back cover and 6 logo with Brimstone Exo-Thermic charge effect on front.
• Operator Backpack: a military-style backpack with adjustable shoulder and sternum straps and a large padded main compartment for your laptop and all your tactical essentials. Wide front pocket and webbing straps across exterior. Comes with eight Operator Badges that attach to sides with velcro. Backpack dimensions: 18″ x 12″ x 6″.

Gameplay trailer

The official R6 Siege trailer from E3 2015 shows off the online gameplay, including various tools like tactical rappelling, drones, and tactical grenades.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is scheduled to be released on December 1 this year for the current generation consoles as well as the PC. Those who purchase the game for Xbox One will get free copies of Rainbow Six: Vegas and its sequel, playable via Backward Compatibility.
