Developed by Ghost Games and published by EA, Need for Speed Heat is an open-world street racer that commemorates the 25th anniversary of the franchise. The game promises an authentic representation of urban car culture and deep vehicle customization.

NFS Heat is set in Palm City, which hosts a sanctioned competition called Speedhunters Showdown during the day, and is home to illicit street races at night. In the former, drivers earn Bank, and in the latter they compete with their Rep on the line while trying to avoid being taken down by the city’s corrupt police force.

Taking place two years after the events of ToCS II, it follows Rean Schwarzer, now a combat instructor at Thors Branch Campus, who must prepare a new class for an uncertain future, and uncover a dark plot threatening his homeland.

Unlike its 3D predecessor Yooka-Laylee, the spin-off is a side-scrolling 2.5D platformer in the style of Donkey Kong Country. It does however have a 3D Overworld that acts as a hub and contains secrets and puzzles.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is an open-world shooter with survival elements from Ubisoft. Taking place in near future, it puts the player into the shoes of an elite Spec Ops soldier, who after crash-landing on a private island belonging to the Skell Tech corporation, finds himself outnumbered and outgunned by rogue Ghosts.

New features include semi-permanent injuries which can slow down the protagonist or affect his aim, a fatigue system tied to traversing the island’s diverse and often harsh terrain, and enhanced stealth mechanics including mud camouflage. There is also tiered loot, crafting, and a class-based progression system. Breakpoint supports co-op with up to four players, as well as competitive multiplayer PvP. Unlike its predecessor Wildlands, the game requires an active internet connection to play.

Shadowkeep is an upcoming expansion to Bungie’s Destiny 2 that marks the game’s transition to a free-to-play action MMO. As new nightmares emerge from the shadows of the moon, the players have to slay them before they can cast humanity back into an age of darkness.

Shadowkeep brings deeper character customization with expanded RPG elements, adding back stats and overhauling the armor system. Guardians also get a new type of ability called finishing moves.

The player steps into the shoes of a vampiric Revenant, gaining powerful Gifts in exchange for their human memories and a constant thirst for blood. Those who succumb to the bloodlust become Lost: mindless ghouls roaming the wasteland in search of blood.

The player is joined by a partner on their journey, each of whom have their own combat style and background story. There are different classes of weapons to choose from – such as bayonets, axes, and spears – to accommodate various playstyles. Careful strategy and coordination with the partner is necessary to bring down the most threatening enemies.

The Surge 2 is a sci-fi action RPG developed by Deck 13 and published by Focus Home Interactive and Maximum Games. The game begins with the player waking up inside an abandoned detention facility in Jericho city following a plane crash. The military is enforcing martial law, the robots are rampaging, and an expanding nanostorm looms in the sky.

Much like the original title, the sequel features a melee combat system which encourages players to rip armored limbs off their enemies and use them to upgrade their own exo-rig. Instead of playing as Warren (the protagonist of The Surge), however, players create their own character. The sequel’s world is more expansive and open, made up of interconnected urban areas each with their set of quests and NPCs. There also are new weapon types, armor, implants, consumables, and companion drones wielding ranged weaponry.
